Basic Pistol

Overview

For the new shooter or someone who has recently purchased their first handgun.

You do not need to own a firearm or have a FOID to take this class.

​

During this class, students will spend 1 hour in the classroom focusing on the following:

​

• Firearm safety

• Basics of ammunition

• Clearing a firearm

• Stance and grip

• Sights and how to use them

• Trigger pull​

​

After the classroom, students will spend the rest of the class in the range practicing what they learned.

• Pistol (No Revolvers, No P320s)

• Additional Magazines

• Eye Protection

• Ear Protection

• Closed-Toe Shoes

• 100 rounds of Ammunition (No Reloads Allowed)
